“Never trust anyone who has not brought a book with them.” ― Lemony Snicket

You Are My Only

You Are My Only - Beth Kephart I was excited to read this book after finding it at a thrift store and reading the inside cover. However, when I did actually read it I was disappointed. The concept was great and grabbed my attention but the characters were flat and gave little detail. This story had definite potential and I was sad to see it wasted.

Deliciously Dark Tales

Deliciously Dark Tales - J.E. Thompson ***Won through Goodreads***

This book was a good collection of creepy stories that leave you with little goosebumps. If I had to pick I think She Liked Boys Best would probably be my favorite of the stories.
Worth the read.

Love, Stargirl

Love, Stargirl - Jerry Spinelli I loved this book just as much as I loved Stargirl. I thought it was a great addition that I waited a long time for. It was worth it.

Stargirl

Stargirl - Jerry Spinelli I remember picking this book up in elementary school and never putting it down. It was my favorite book for such a long time and is still among my favorites, it'll always have a special place in my heart. I still have my original copy and don't plan on ever losing it

Dead to You

Dead to You - Lisa McMann Although I did have some issues with the book such as Ethan falling in love so quickly after returning home and the ending, I still liked this book. The concept really captivated me and I felt invested in this book. So much so that I finished in it within a couple of hours because I desperately wanted to know the ending.
BUT! When the ending came I hated it. I knew what the outcome would be pretty early on and I wanted to know how it would be dealt with. I'm not against open endings since sometimes they can work really well for a piece but this was not one of those times. It could've been executed a lot better

The Death of Bees

The Death of Bees - Lisa O'Donnell I don't know what I was expecting when I started this book, but I know this was not it. It made me feel so many different emotions; happy, disgusted, uncomfortable, sad, etc, ect. This book is very unique and the author has such talent! One of my favorites for sure

The Host

The Host - Stephenie Meyer Wasn't into Twilight at all, but I was willing to give this one a try. It was an okay read even though there still a lot of "relationship" similarities.

A Child Called "It"

A Child Called "It" - Dave Pelzer I read this book in middle school and since then I don't think I've read another book that has completely broken my heart quite like this one.

The Long Walk

The Long Walk - Stephen King Once I picked up this book I couldn't put it down. My mom, also a huge Stephen King fan, told me about this book a lot growing up and it lived up to the expectations I developed. As soon as I was done reading I talked about it so much my boyfriend, who doesn't read that much, instantly read it and loved it just as much as I did. The concept of the book is just so fucked up and I loved every second of it.

Coraline

Coraline - Neil Gaiman I love Coraline tremendously. It’s always been one of my all-time favorite books; I can read it over and over and never get sick of the story. It’s so haunting and well written. Everyone should read this story at least once. Gaiman truly is a master at his craft.
